First public sighting of CM Punk since AEW fight, injury confirmed

CM Punk hasn’t been publicly seen since his press conference at the AEW All Out event earlier this month.

After Punk’s comments at the AEW All Out media scrum where he ripped Colt Cabana, Hangman Adam Page, and the AEW EVPs, there was a backstage fight involving Punk, Omega, Ace Steel, and The Young Bucks.

At All Out, he beat Jon Moxley to win back the World Heavyweight Title, but suffered a torn left triceps when performing a tope. He later underwent surgery and the typical recovery time is 6-8 months. Punk was stripped of the title by AEW President Tony Khan.

As previously reported, Wade Keller said on a recent PWTorch show that he doesn’t expect Punk to return to AEW and while nothing is 100 percent set in stone, things seem to be leaning towards a buyout of Punk’s contract.
