NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 results: Okada defeats Danielson, Moxley falls short in title match

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 is in the books, as it went down on Thursday morning and aired live on NJPW World.

In the headliner, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA defended against G1 winner Tetsuya Naito, with Naito coming out on top.

Also on tap was Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada in a singles match that saw Okada win the rematch from Forbidden Door and a three-way between Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, & David Finlay, with Ospreay winning to become the inaugural IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.

Pre-show: Great-O-Khan, Taiji Ishimori, Toru Yano, and Yoh won the New Japan Ranbo to determine who will challenge for the Provisional KOPW 2024 Championship at New Year Dash.

Catch 2/2 (TJP and Francesco Akira) defeated Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney) to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Zack Sabre Jr. to win the NJPW World Television Championship.

Yuya Uemura defeated Yota Tsuji.

House of Torture (Evil and Ren Narita) defeated Shota Umino and Kaito Kiyomiya.

Tama Tonga defeated Shingo Takagi to win the NEVER Openweight Championship.

Guerrillas of Destiny (Hikuleo and El Phantasmo) defeated Bishamon (Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi) in a Winners Takes All tag team match for the IWGP Tag Team Championships and Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships.

El Desperado defeated Hiromu Takahashi to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

David Finlay defeated Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley by pinfall for the inaugural IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.

Kazuchika Okada defeated Bryan Danielson.

Tetsuya Naito defeated Sanada to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
