NWA Power episodes added to The CW streaming app

Several weeks ago, NWA owner Billy Corgan revealed that the company had signed two television deals with a “top 20 network.” It was later reported the network was the CW Network.

The two programs that are slated to air will be NWA Power and a reality TV show about the day-to-day, behind-the-scenes business of the NWA. This was a long time in the making as Corgan has wanted to do a reality TV show for a while and came close while running RESISTANCE Pro wrestling in Chicago as he had signed such a deal with A&E to produce one.

Concern

The big contract was put into jeopardy when there was a controversial moment during the NWA Samhain pay-per-view as the spot was when Jim Mitchel was at a table with women around him drinking alcohol, and it looked like Mitchell was snorting cocaine off the table before passing it around to everyone around him.

As previously reported, the spot upset people at The CW, and there was an active push by a higher-up at The CW for NWA programming to only air on The CW app rather than on television. WWE later inked a deal with the network for NXT in the fall of 2024.

Episodes

The network added the episodes of NWA’s flagship show, Power, on Tuesday, starting with the September 5 episode and running through October 24. An official announcement of the deal has yet to be made.
