People close to Vince McMahon have been brought back to WWE

Following Vince McMahon’s return to the company as the Executive Chairman of the WWE Board of Directors, various changes have been made.

This includes his daughter and the former WWE CEO and Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon publicly announcing her resignation on January 10. McMahon brought back George Barrios and Michelle Wilson on the Board while some Board members have left. JoEllen Lyons Dillon, Jeffrey R Speed, and Alan M Wexler were the members that were removed. Nick Khan is now the CEO of the company. Several big backstage names have since parted ways with WWE.

McMahon’s return comes after he departed from the company in July 2022 following ‘hush pact’ allegations. As previously reported, he reached a settlement with Rita Chatterton for millions after she accused him of raping her in 1986.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that several names linked to Vince McMahon have been brought into the company following these departures.

Regarding EVP of Operations Brad Blum being brought back to the company, Meltzer noted that Blum was brought back after being let go about a month and a half ago.

“We were told that Blum has been gone, but it was not confirmed by WWE if he was let go or was returning from a leave of absence, but he was a strong McMahon ally. But there were people close to McMahon who were also brought back.”

McMahon had stated that he was back to facilitate a sale of the company and help with the TV rights negotiations.
