Dakota Kai has decided to change up her look.
Kai returned to WWE at the 2022 SummerSlam after being released by WWE following a run in NXT, where she was paired with Bayley and IYO SKY as part of Damage CTRL after Bianca Belair retained the WWE Raw Women’s Title over Becky Lynch.
Her journey
Kai and SKY held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on a few separate occasions, while Bayley has mostly challenged for the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles.
As part of the 2023 WWE Draft, Damage CTRL was drafted to the SmackDown brand from Raw. Kai suffered a torn ACL on the May 12 edition of SmackDown in a tag team match while working with Bayley against Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Sidelined
Kai later had surgery for it and was expected to be sidelined for 9-12 months. After being off television for months, she returned at SummerSlam to see fellow Damage CTRL member IYO SKY cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase to beat Belair to win the Women’s Title.
Kai has remained on television as the group has added Asuka and Kairi Sane to the faction.
