Kota Ibushi, one of the biggest free-agent stars in wrestling today, is now headed to AEW for a one-off match.
The former NJPW star will serve as the final member of The Elite’s Blood & Guts team when he joins Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson), and Hangman Page to take on Blackpool Combat Club members Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Konosuke Takeshita and PAC.
The bout takes place on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. Other bouts confirmed for the show include MJF & Adam Cole vs. Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia in the Blind Eliminator tag team tournament finals and FTW Champion Hook vs. Jack Perry.
In a post on Twitter, Ibushi noted he officially arrived in the United States, where he reunited with his Golden Lovers partner/good friend Kenny Omega and Michael Nakazawa.
