It looks like there’s a very real chance of a major name returning tonight at AEW All Out in Chicago.
MJF hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since the Dynamite after Double Or Nothing and none of his friends who work for the company have heard from him. He’s been said to be looking at getting into Hollywood and the worked shoot promo had many wondering what was next.
MJF has just over a year left on his AEW contract so there’s no shot at him going to WWE but, after he was pulled from Warner Bros. Discovery marketing materials about AEW, there was some speculation that he would be suspended until the end of his contract.
That is not the case at all and, per Fightful Select, there is a belief that he may appear on tonight’s pay-per-view. The report states that when asked, people close to MJF have not said “no” in regards to whether they have heard from him. Obviously, if he wasn’t it would not be hard to issue a denial. Fightful adds that this is the first time that talent has not said “no” in regards to whether they have heard from him, so that is a change.
Fightful also reported that at least three talent were convinced that MJF would be the joker in the Casino Ladder Match. If MJF wins the match then he would challenge the winner of Jon Moxley vs. CM Punk for the AEW World Championship.
Also, Fightful adds that they have received tips about MJF being in town and areas being closed off to keep him a secret but those tips have not been confirmed.
Also, for what it’s worth, Tony Khan stated on Busted Open Radio that after All Out, fans will know that the roster is back at full strength. The pay-per-view kicks off at 8 pm eastern on the Bleacher Report app.
