Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown may have just become a little bit more interesting.
The show from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI, will feature appearances by newly crowned WWE Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Women’s Champion Bayley as they will speak. The company is also planning two big matches. For more on that, click here.
It was reported in February that Tama Tonga was headed to WWE. The former NJPW star had worked for the promotion over the last 14 years and finished up around the time of this report.
Pwinsider reports Tonga has been spotted in Detroit ahead of tonight’s SmackDown. It’s unclear whether he will be appearing on the broadcast.
Tonga started his career in All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he worked as King Tonga, Haku, and Meng before going to NJPW, where he was part of The Bullet Club alongside AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows.
While with NJPW, he held the IWGP Tag Team Titles seven times with Loa while also holding the Never Openweight Title four times.
