PWInsider is reporting that the word making the rounds at TV this week is that Doudrop is expected back soon, and possibly at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Doudrop recently stated that she is on the mend after being “very sick.” When she disappeared off TV a few months, she had turned heel and was in a storyline with Nikki ASH, now Nikki Cross again.
WrestlingNews.co exclusively reported a few weeks ago that there were plans for Edge vs. Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match at the Royal Rumble. It’s possible that the match could still happen but plans could have changed by now. If they plan on announcing that match then it would make sense to make that announcement on Monday. PWInsider confirmed today that Edge is penciled in to return at the Rumble PPV. The last time he appeared on TV was in October when he lost an “I Quit” match to Balor.
Another name that has been discussed is Logan Paul. PWInsider reports that his name was discussed for the Rumble. Also, as first reported here on WrestlingNews.co, as of a few weeks ago, the plans were for Logan Paul to face John Cena at WrestleMania. We have not received an update on the status of that match.
As is always the case with creative plans, anything can change.
