A notable AEW name is back wrestling after being sidelined with an injury. The return happened at the AEW tapings on Thursday night in Portland to tape Collision, Rampage, and ROH television episodes.
That star is Anthony Henry, who had been sidelined with a jaw injury in March. The injury happened while he was working at a Deadlock Pro Wrestling match, where Bryan Keith retained the DPW National Title. He was among the names in April to be released by AEW, only for the fans to rally behind him.
AEW President Tony Khan revealed that he reversed his decision to let Henry go and said he would bring him back once he was medically cleared. Henry had surgery to fix his broken jaw.
Henry wrestled his first match back at the portion of the ROH tapings when he teamed with WorkHorsemen tag team partner JD Drake to defeat Spanish Announce Project’s Angelico and Serpentico. Here are the rest of the spoilers, courtesy of PWInsider.com:
Zak Knight defeated Sebastian Wolfe.
