Last year, WWE announced that they would shut down the NXT UK brand and move several stars over to NXT in the United States with the idea of launching a new brand, NXT Europe, in 2023. NXT Europe has yet to happen.
NXT has brought in several NXT UK stars, while WWE has also released several wrestlers. Stars such as JD McDonaugh, Gallus, Joe Coffey, Tyler Bate, and others have been used in NXT.
Eddie Dennis was one of the stars part of the mass NXT UK talent releases. He joined WWE and was one of the originals of the NXT UK brand that started in 2018 with weekly television. Dennis made his final in-ring appearance for the Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) promotion before announcing his retirement from in-ring competition in March.
WWE announced on their LinkedIn page that Dennis has returned to the company as a writer and producer for the NXT brand.
