Mercedes Mone has been in the headlines for various reasons over the last week as she made her first comments in months on the Kick Rocks podcast as well as AEW debut.

On this podcast, Mone spoke about how she is returning from a career-threatening ankle injury that she needed surgery for as well as her belief that she will return to WWE one day, surprising comments due to it coming out days before her return.
This didn’t sit well with some people. She also explained her decision to walk out of WWE due to a creative difference with Vince McMahon.
Reaction
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Mone’s comments did “rub a lot of people the wrong way.”
As previously reported, Mone negotiated with both sides where WWE didn’t give her the money she wanted, and AEW did.
