The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn accepted the challenge issued by AEW Trios Champions House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) at Saturday’s AEW Double or Nothing event from Las Vegas, Nevada.
As they made their way to the ring, Caster rapped about Matthews getting “cucked” by a “kid named Dominik.” Black hit his finisher to Gunn for the win.
This was a reference to WWE star Dominik Mysterio, who is involved with Rhea Ripley in TV storylines as they portray their a couple. Matthews is dating Ripley in real life.
Ripley reacted to the rap when she wrote the following on Twitter: “Hey @DomMysterio35, we’re over in two companies.”
Mattews responded with, “Yes, yes you are! Congratulations! They made you more famous during their TV time.”
At WWE Night of Champions this past Saturday night, Rhea retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship over Natalya in a quick squash match.
