Ricky Starks has shared the ring before with CM Punk and will do so yet again on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, where they will wrestle in what is being hyped as the ‘real’ AEW World Title match.
Both stars have praised each other on television and in interviews leading up to the bout. Starks previously beat Punk to win the Owen Hart Cup.
While speaking with DAZN Wrestling, Starks called Punk the last of a true superstar in pro wrestling.
“Punk is a future Hall of Famer. He is the last of a true superstar that we have in wrestling… Personal reasons aside, his career is pretty decorated in that regard. I don’t look at it as anything other than I’m going in there, and I’m going to give the best version of myself that I know possible.”
AEW is bringing in Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat as the outside official for the bout. Here are the other bouts confirmed for the show:
