Rising Indie Star Leo Sparrow Wins Two Championships, Wrestles His Trainer Brian Myers, Gets Called Out by Matt Cardona and Effy All in Less Than a Week

Leo Sparrow has a bullseye on him.

On June 6, Sparrow wrestled trainer Brian Myers and won the FWF Tag Team Championships. Sparrow and VSK defeated Brian Myers & Captain Joe Shoes at FWF Live 5! in Hicksville, NY. On June 10th, Sparrow won the VPW New York State Championship at Victory Pro Wrestling’s “Justified” event when he defeated Dezmond Cole. Sparrow then wrestled Myers on June 11th in a singles match at McKenzieMania, a wrestling show birthday party for Myers’ daughter McKenzie.

Now it looks like a former WWE/Impact star wants a piece of Sparrow. On June 11th, Matt Cardona commented “I want him” on Sparrow’s Instagram post (click below to see the post). That was followed up by Effy tweeting, “I really wanna fight @NoSteakAllSizzl” while promoting Create A Pro’s return to Lynbrook, NY on 7/30.

For those of you unaware of Leo Sparrow, he is a rising star on the independent scene and likely to sign a big contract with one of the national companies sooner than later. Sparrow wrestled and lost a match to Omos on an episode of WWE Raw last year and just days later he appeared on Rampage in a diss track video by The Acclaimed that mocked Sting and Darby Allin.
