Ronda Rousey made her ROH debut after AEW Rampage

A major debut happened after the AEW Rampage tapings in Inglewood, California.

Former WWE Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey made her debut at the ROH tapings in a tag team match where she teamed with Marina Shafir against Billie Starkz and Athena. Her debut was not announced beforehand but word got out before Collision via WrestleVotes that Rousey was backstage at the show.

The tag match tonight was a rematch from their match on Thursday at Wrestling Revolver that went to a no-contest. Rousey has wrestled twice since leaving WWE after losing to Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam. It’s not clear if the match in ROH is a one-off or if she has signed a full-time deal.

If Rousey is signed to an ROH contract then it is likely a strategy to help boost the brand in hopes of getting a TV deal with the belief being that Tony Khan wants ROH to be part of the deal with AEW to air live events on Max.

As seen below, Rousey came out to Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation” song that she also used in WWE and UFC.
