Ronda Rousey returned to in-ring action against AEW stars at Wrestling Revolver Unreal show

Ronda Rousey returned to in-ring action on Thursday night in the main event of the Wrestling Revolver Unreal event.

This marked Rousey’s second match post-WWE since wrapping up with the company following August’s SummerSlam event, where Shayna Baszler went over the former WWE Women’s Champion in an MMA rules match. Rousey’s contract had expired, and she took a hiatus following her second run with the company.

Ronda Rousey’s WWE run

Her first run began with her debut match, teaming with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 in 2018. Rousey’s first post-WWE match was at a Lucha VaVoom event on October 28 in an impromptu match where she teamed with Marina Shafir to defeat Brian Kendrick and Taya Valkyrie.

She teamed with Shafir at Thursday’s show to go up against AEW’s Athena and Billie Starkz in the main event. The finish called for Athena to attack Rousey with the ROH Women’s Championship, causing a no-contest. Rousey thanked the fans after the show for their support.
