Rumor Killer on Vince McMahon’s Reaction to Bad Bunny Wearing WWF Logo on SmackDown

Bad Bunny appeared on Friday’s WWE SmackDown after Rey Mysterio teamed with his LWO partner Zelina Vega to take on Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley of The Judgment Day in the main event.

The heel faction attacked the two babyfaces who went over in the match after it ended until the rest of the LWO came out to make the save, with Bunny joining them. He later put on an LWO shirt, officially joining the group.

This was done to further build Bunny’s Street Fight with Priest at tonight’s WWE Backlash. Before Bunny put on the shirt, he had an interesting jacket on as it featured an old WWE logo from the World Wrestling Federation days.

In 2002, the WWF changed its name to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after being sued two years prior by the World Wildlife Fund (also WWF), an environmental organization now called the World Wide Fund for Nature, after Vince McMahon’s company (Titan Sports) had violated a 1994 agreement that called for limited use of the WWF initials overseas, mostly in merchandising.

There had been a rumor going around that McMahon was upset for wearing the WWF logo and would be suspended for 90 days, even though Bunny isn’t expected to work any more matches for the time being.

Boozer 666, who has broken past WWE news, shot down the rumor:
