Rumor Killer On WWE’s Plans For Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns And The Rock At WrestleMania

WWE is hours away from its WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Event, where the company is expected to announce The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at the event after The Rock took Cody Rhodes’ spot to wrestle the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

The event

Although not confirmed, it’s believed Rhodes may challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at the event. There has been speculation WWE could do Rock vs. Reigns on night 1 and Rhodes vs. Reigns on night 2 or vice versa instead of Rhodes going after the World Title, considering the pushback among fans.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that whatever WWE plans to do with the three men, it won’t be a triple threat match as some have speculated it could be what WWE was planning.

What’s not happening

“Whatever they’re doing, whether it’s a three-way which I was told, it was not going to be, but whether it’s them doing two matches, where Roman wrestles twice, or how they make this thing work. I was told it will likely be completed by the end of the press conference if that is the plan. ,” Meltzer stated.
