WWE is building to its final premium live event of the year with Survivor Series on November 25th from Chicago, IL, at the United Center. The company is also reportedly planning the return of one of its biggest stars in recent memory in Randy Orton.
Orton has been sidelined for a lengthy period of time even though doctors have told the former WWE Champion not to continue with his wrestling career. The future WWE Hall of Famer has been sidelined since last May and underwent fusion back surgery late last year. He was spotted at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL, last month, indicating he was getting closer to returning.
As previously reported, WWE is looking to bring him back by Survivor Series. WWE has approved new Orton merchandise and branding ahead of his return.
There had been a rumor going around on social media that Orton was slated to win a major title when he returned. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that it’s not true, as they’ve been told that it hasn’t been broached.
