This year’s Royal Rumble PLE is just weeks away from happening in Tampa, FL, at Tropicana Field, but there won’t be one former star in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
The card
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton and WWE United States Champion Logan Paul vs. Kevin Owens are the top matches on the card in addition to the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches.
Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre have declared for the men’s bout while the women confirmed thus far include Bayley, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair.
Surprise
WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman was among the three names believed to be surprise entrants in the Rumble matches. Waltman had been spotted at the Performance Center last week, and there was talk he would be in Florida for WWE over Rumble weekend.
Waltman took to Twitter to rule out that he would be in the match by writing:
I can still go at the drop of hat, at least for a few minutes. I can do all my kicks, except the one in the corner & I can do that again with a few weeks training. I'm at least month away from taking my shirt off in public, so zero chance I'll be in the Rumble.
