WWE fans may see the return of Sasha Banks, aka Mercedes Mone, to the company in the near future.
Her WWE exit
Mone and Trinity Fatu, formerly known as Naomi, walked out of WWE in May 2022 due to creative differences. Months later, they were granted their releases, with Mone going to NJPW and Fatu to Impact.
Mone is expected to make a return from injury soon and is still under contract with NJPW. She’s also expected to make her AEW debut when she’s back. The former WWE star was seen on camera in the crowd at All In from Wembley Stadium.
Possibility
Ibou of WrestlePurists, who has broken past stories, noted on Twitter that Mone may return to WWE, although noted this was not a formal report just yet and the situation should be monitored. He later noted that a limited number of people in AEW have updated info on the status of her partnership with Mone.
As CM Punk proved this weekend, never say never in wrestling, especially with Nick Khan and Triple H in charge in WWE.
This is not a formal report (yet). It will become one if I have enough information to provide something concrete and substantial. This is a situation that should be monitored though.

Very few people have updated information on the AEW side regarding the status of this expected partnership. Rocky Romero… https://t.co/makAnzMKd1
