Whatever plans there were for Sasha Banks to return to WWE may have fallen through because she has changed her Twitter name.
WrestlingNews.co first reported last month that there was an agreement for Banks and Naomi to return to WWE. Fightful later reported that the deal had not been signed and other outlets (including Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter) reported that Banks and Naomi were expected back soon. Banks has changed her Twitter name from @SashaBanksWWE to her real name @MercedesVarnado.
Earlier this month during an interview with Ariel Helwani, Triple H said the following about Banks possibly returning to the company:
“Time will tell. I think in a lot of ways communication breakdowns are terrible and there’s a communication breakdown there, for whatever reason. Starting back up that communication is not a difficult process but it can be a process, right and you have to go through the process. She’s an unbelievably talented young woman that can do just about anything she wants. It just comes down to what does she want to do now with her life, her career, whatever that is. The passion clearly for what we do, there’s a passion for other things as well. It comes down to what does she want to do? It’s gotta be right for her, gotta be right for everybody.”
As of this writing, she still has WWE listed as part of her Twitter bio. The bio states the following:
“Sasha Banks-WWE
Koska Reeves – The Mandalorian
She remembered who she was and the game changed.”
