WWE Hall Of Famer Sean Waltman revealed last December that he was was medically cleared to return to in-ring action after knee surgery.
Waltman got knee surgery done in January 2021 by Dr. Chung at the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California. He was back in action at GCW Welcome To Heartbreak in February, where he teamed with Joey Janela against Matt Cardona & Brian Myers.
However, he suffered a torn bicep and had to get the surgery done following a match against Janela at Spring Break 6 in March.
During a K&S Virtual Signing, Waltman was asked who he’d like to wrestle if he wrestles again. Waltman noted that due to his age, he doesn’t want to wrestle again unless it’s something special.
“It’s hard for me to answer a question like that. I’m not in a frame of mind, where I’m at physically, to wrap my head around it. Especially after the last couple of matches I had. We get old, man. Can’t walk the next day after I do sh** like that. If I get back in the ring again, it’s going to be a pretty big deal. It’s going to be something big like the Royal Rumble.”
Waltman previously pushed to work this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble Match, and WWE did consider using him but decided against it.
