FTR has been on an incredible run over the last year as they’ve found success in AEW, ROH, AAA, and NJPW, but they have decided to take time off to let their bodies heal up and take a look at their future in the wrestling business.
As previously reported, Dax Harwood said in an interview in November that their current AEW contract ends at the end of April 2023.
He said he’s evaluating options and that he and Cash Wheeler have had a lot of conversations about their future including one idea where hey could take a year off of wrestling for major companies and just do things that are fun to them.
With Triple H now in charge of WWE creative, he has brought back several former stars. Although FTR didn’t see eye to eye on everything with Vince McMahon, the idea of potentially working with Triple H after they found success under his booking in NXT could be something they entertain.
While speaking with Wrestling Inc over Royal Rumble weekend, Seth Rollins was asked about them potentially returning.
“Yeah. Great talents. Hell of a tag team. Good guys. Always had a good relationship with them. I’d love to see them come back if they want to come back and hang out with us.”
