There were notable changes made to this week’s episode of WWE Raw as the company is on the road to the Fastlane PLE next month.
As previously reported, Tegan Nox was scheduled to be NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch’s opponent, but instead, Nox ended up working on the Main Event tapings.
Also, The Viking Raiders were scheduled to face The New Day in a 2-out-of-3 falls match, but that was changed to a singles match between Ivar and Kofi Kingston.
Pwinsider reports some other changes to the show, as Natalya was supposed to wrestle Xia Li on Main Event, but that was changed to Nox. Natalya worked Lynch instead.
WWE originally planned to have Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura follow Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio. The call was made “to push it back in order to push more starpower to later segments as Seth Rollins would be involved.” Here are the producers for the show:
