Shannon Sharpe has a hugely successful podcast/YouTube show and this week his show drew tons of headlines for his interview with Katt Williams where Katt gave his unfiltered thoughts on comedy legends Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, Martin Lawrence, Kevin Hart, and many others.
Sharpe also drew headlines after he talked about his love for professional wrestling. As seen in the clip below, Sharpe talked about growing up watching Georgia Championship Wrestling. Sharpe said he grew up watching names like Dusty Rhodes, Gordon Solie, Andre The Giant, Bobo Brazil, Ox Baker, Harley Race, and Nick Bockwinkel.
WWE COO Paul “Triple H” Levesque” saw the clip of Sharpe talking about his wrestling fandom and then invited him and the Nightcap crew to be his guests at a future WWE event.
Triple H posted the following: “Love the respect and passion for the history of our business. @ShannonSharpe and the @NightcapShow_ crew are welcome to join us at a @WWE event any place, any time.”
No word yet from Shannon but perhaps he will accept the invite and maybe we’ll see him at a show soon. WrestleMania is not too far away.
