Some Top Stars Expected to Miss WWE’s Return to Saudi Arabia

WWE has a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority, and WWE is paid big money to host two events in the country per year. The company will be returning for its second event this year with the Crown Jewel event emanating from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, November 4th.

WWE held its first 2023 PLE in the country earlier this year with the Night of Champions show. Historically, Saudi shows air in the afternoon, and this show will likely be no different.

As previously reported, WWE will be taping the go-home show of SmackDown a week before the November 3 episode.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer pointed out that WWE has a house show on November 4 from Rochester, NY.

WWE will keep some talent back in the United States to work the house show, which is a change from what WWE has done in the past by not running house shows on this weekend as a way to have all of its top stars available for the Saudi event.
