Sting made a major announcement tonight on AEW Dynamite about his future plans.
Sting was given time to address the fans and he put over some of the people he worked with over the years from Tony Schiavone to Hulk Hogan (who was booed when his name was mentioned) and Ric Flair.
Sting mentioned his 2015 retirement not sitting right with him and although fans have heard retirement talk from him, this time this is it and he plans on ending things at Revolution in 2024 this February.
Originally, Sting planned to retire this year but Tony Khan told him that he could stay as long as he wanted and thus, the retirement was delayed by months. Sting is a multi-time World Champion in several organizations from the NWA to WCW and NWA TNA.
During his run in AEW, Sting has wrestled a limited amount of singles and multi-man matches.
"I started my very first match with #AEW was #AEWRevolution 2021, and my very last match will be #AEWRevolution 2024!"
