WWE held a live event on Thursday from Utilita Arena Cardiff in Cardiff, Wales, UK, where Raw stars worked the show, and there was an interesting challenger for Damian Priest’s WWE World Heavyweight Title.
Priest beat Drew McIntyre for the title at WWE WrestleMania XL after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase moments after McIntyre won the title from Seth Rollins in the opening match. He’ll defend it against Jey Uso at Backlash France next month.
At the live event, Priest retained the World Title over Xavier Woods, who has been used as a tag team star for the majority of his WWE run, where he found a lot of success as a member of The New Day alongside Big E and Kofi Kingston.
