WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch had pleaded no contest to a felony charge of DUI.
Sytch was arrested in May 2022, stemming from the death of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter in March 2022 during a traffic incident in Ormond Beach, Florida. She had been facing one count of DUI causing death, one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing damage to property.
TMZ reported the news today. Now, Sytch faces up to 25 years in prison. She initially pleaded not guilty to all of the charges. She changed her plea in court on Wednesday before the case went to trial.
In addition to the plea to felony DUI causing death, court documents show she also pleaded no contest to one felony charge of driving with license suspended causing death, four misdemeanor counts of DUI with damage to a person, and two misdemeanor charges of DUI with damage to property.
25 years is the maximum sentence she is facing. When first arrested, officials alleged Sytch had a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher. She had been previously arrested several times for impaired driving.
