The Rock’s WWE appearances are few and far between but we might not have to wait too long to see him in a wrestling ring again.
The former WWE Champion and movie star posted on his social media accounts on Saturday and noted that he met with young Jayden during his Make-A-Wish visit. The Rock praised the 15-year-old, who happens to be a big pro wrestling fan.
In the same post, The Rock stated that he told Jayden a “little secret that may or may not involve some dude returning to WWE to lay the SmackDown on all their candy asses.”
The post raised some eyebrows because on September 15 while on The Pat McAfee Show, he hinted that he would be open to returning for a program with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. On that same day, he appeared on Friday Night SmackDown in a segment with McAfee and Austin Theory.
The Rock previously stated that he was penciled in for a match with Reigns for WrestleMania 39 but things didn’t line up creatively. In September, Dave Meltzer reported that Rock vs. Reigns was not scheduled for Mania 40 and not that the actors/writers strike is over, it’s expected that he will be busy in Hollywood. However, if Rock feels like he can do the match this year then obviously, he would get it.
His social media post on Saturday would seem to indicate that he could be back for WrestleMania season.
