Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is having a lot of fun these days after making his return to WWE, where he has been part of the company both on-screen and behind-the-scenes.
Rock’s WWE return
The Rock was added to TKO Group’s Board of Directors this January, with him getting stock and the IP rights to The Rock name and catchphrases that he has used over the years.
He will team with Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins on WrestleMania 40 night 1. The stipulation is that if the babyfaces go over, the Bloodline will be barred from ringside for Reigns vs. Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 40 night two. Should the heels prevail, then it will be a Bloodline Rules Match.
Heel turn
While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Rock briefly spoke about his WWE heel turn.
“It is the best to go back to WWE in this ‘Rock 10.0’ version where I can become a heel and say the things that people want to say,” before recapping the segment from SmackDown in Phoenix.
Kimmel also joked that Rock should have gotten publicity for WrestleMania 40 by attacking John Cena, who appeared “naked” at the Oscars on Sunday for a bit to present an award. You can check out the segment here:
