The main events for WrestleMania 40 were made official during the Kickoff press conference in Las Vegas.
Things started with Bianca Belair promoting Love & WWE. Then Rhea Ripley was out and she was interrupted by Becky Lynch. They heavily teased that it would be Lynch vs. Ripley at WrestleMania but they couldn’t announce it because they have to get through the Elimination Chamber. Adam Pearce had to keep both women from getting physical.
Seth Rollins was up next. He called on Cody Rhodes to come out but Roman Reigns came out instead. Reigns said he chooses to main event WrestleMania with The Rock. Rock came out for his promo time. Cody Rhodes walked out and said he chooses Reigns. Things got physical after both sides said things about each other’s family. Rock slapped Cody in the face and security jumped in to keep them apart.
Jackie Redmond interviewed Triple H backstage. The Rock told him to fix it and he said “If you don’t fix it, we will.” On social media, Triple H announced that Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns is official for WrestleMania.
