The Rock will be returning to WWE television soon.
The Rock heavily pushed to do the match with Roman Reigns, but due to the pushback from fans, Cody Rhodes will challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 40. It looks like WWE is building towards a Rhodes & World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Reigns and Rock tag team match at the event as well.
Although not confirmed, it’s possible WWE will announce the tag team match at Saturday’s Elimination Chamber PLE. The Rock turned heel at the WrestleMania press conference earlier this month before joining The Bloodline last week on SmackDown.
On Friday, WWE confirmed the former WWE Champion will be appearing on next week’s show from Glendale, AZ. As of this writing, Reigns has not been announced for the show.
