There Are Several People in WWE Pushing for Cameron Grimes

Although WWE didn’t do anything for him for months, and he sat on the sidelines waiting on creative to come up with something for him, those in the company are still strongly behind Cameron Grimes.

In December, Grimes was reportedly going to be called up to the main roster after he had his last match in November on NXT TV when he lost to Joe Gacy. However, WWE waited until the Draft to do so, and he was placed on SmackDown.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported, “Several WWE higher-ups, including Triple H, were said to have been fans of his work and saw potential in him on the main roster.”

The report noted that several agents/producers have also spoken highly of Grimes’ work after working with him in the past, whether that be in NXT or elsewhere.

A longtime WWE employee told Fightful that they saw Grimes as a “slam dunk” because he could work any number of styles.
