Christmas got more interesting on social media when there was an exchange of words over the brawl at AEW All Out 2022 between CM Punk and The Elite.
The past
Punk left AEW with a lot of issues with several people in the promotion, such as The Elite and Jack Perry, considering the brawl at All Out 2022 and his backstage altercation at All In. Punk, Ace Steel, The Elite, Tony Khan, and Perry have all signed NDAs, so they legally can’t talk about those situations.
Chris Jericho, one of the AEW locker room leaders, took to Twitter to comment on the All Out brawl by writing:
Hey @StephenPNew– I don’t adhere to an employee handbook and have NEVER had one in 4 years of working for @aew. Ive also never signed an NDA in my life ….ever. So stop trying to be a bully and making egotistical fantasy brags for your clients, and start doing some research… https://t.co/P8Fjda7d9K

Back and forth
This came after Jericho’s own website posted a story about how Punk and Steel’s attorney, Stephen P. New, had confirmed in a recent interview that he represented Steel and Punk following All Out in addition to representing Steel when AEW originally fired him before being brought back and released again.
New also confirmed there are NDAs in place. He noted the only person who could speak publicly about the incident was Lucy Guy, Steel’s wife. Jericho corrected the story on his website, pointing out that he’s not under an NDA.
New responded by noting Jericho would be under one based on his AEW employee handbook before Jim Cornette, who routinely rips AEW and its product, chiming in with this tweet:
God, Chris, it's Xmas–slap Tony's dick out of your mouth, you've got his Dad's money the next 10 years & the Buckaroos will still let you play with the cool kids. You don't have to tell the truth, just QUIT LYING, Punk is sorry he made a difference in AEW business & you haven't. https://t.co/xOKbOSAevz

New later added the following:
Thank you Chris. We will just attach this Tweet as Exhibit A. Merry Christmas
