At the start of tonight’s AEW Collision broadcast, Tony Khan addressed CM Punk and the reason why his contract was terminated.
Khan said that Punk endangered the people backstage, including the staff and production crew. Khan also stated that never before until last Sunday has he felt that his own security, safety, and his life were in danger at a wrestling show.
Khan talked about how this was something he did not want to do but ultimately it it was the decision that had to be made after an investigation. He also talked about moving forward and wanting to put on a good show for the fans.
Khan also addressed the fans live in the building just before they went on the air and said some of the same things said on the live broadcast.
