Tony Khan comments on MJF potentially becoming the leader of AEW after Full Gear

Tony Khan appeared on Barstool Rasslin’ to promote tonight’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view. Khan was asked if he is prepared for MJF to be the leader of AEW if he wins the AEW title from Jon Moxley at Full Gear:

“He got to this position in pretty questionable circumstances right, but he has certainly captured the interest of fans all over the world, and in Newark, it’s going to be very interesting and the person who he is facing is the most dominant wrestler in AEW history, the only three time world champion, somebody who has reigned on top throughout this year and is continuing to dominate every week on TV. It’s a collision and it’s really been a collision course I think since we were last up here for AEW Grand Slam here in New York City.”

On not stripping Thunder Rosa of the AEW Women’s Championship:

“The champion, Thunder Rosa, has been out injured. So, we’ll see. I’ve wanted to give Thunder Rosa every opportunity to come back and defend the championship. We’ve dealt with her injury, you know, it’s — she’s been out a while. So we’ll have to see. It’s a difficult choice, but I do think the interim champion has been out there, and the interim champion is Toni Storm, who is one of the biggest free-agent signings we’ve ever had. Toni Storm has come in and she’s gone out every week and had great matches almost every week on TV. Really, I think, is not only a prominent name who came in with a great reputation in the world of wrestling, but we’ve seen first hand this year she’s come in and beaten so many of the top stars from all over the world.”

Full Gear: Zero Hour airs at 7 pm eastern on Bleacher Report apps, BleacherReport.com, and on YouTube. The main card will stream live on Bleacher Report apps and BleacherReport.com.
