Tony Khan Talks AEW ALL IN, Cash Wheeler’s Arrest, CM Punk, The Elite, Sting Retirement, and More

Tony Khan took questions from the media today during the AEW ALL IN media call.

Khan was asked when he knew about Cash Wheeler’s arrest. He said that he hasn’t known about it for a long time but he is keeping an eye on this “inconclusive situation.” FTR vs. Young Bucks is still scheduled for the pay-per-view in London.

When asked if AEW would commit to a ticket audit after the show, he asked what WWE would do in that situation and that he looks forward to announcing an “accurate number.”

In regards to The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega holding EVP titles while Chris Jericho and CM Punk hold influence backstage without titles, Khan said that the EVPs have a variety of responsibilities. He did not say how the EVPs are different than Punk/Jericho.

Khan said that the EVP deals end on different dates because of injury time.

Khan said that the gate is at $10 million with around 80,000 ticket sold. He also hinted at having a bigger presence in the UK but no announcements at this time.

On Sting, he said that he doesn’t want it to end and he doesn’t want to be the one to pull the plug on his career.

David Zaslav has great things to say about AEW and recently told Shad Khan, “Your son is f’n killing it.”
