Top AEW star removed from website roster

As of January 1, 2024, MJF is no longer listed as part of the roster on the AEW website.

For over a year, MJF has been talking about the end of his contract and the “bidding war of 2024” and the possibility of him making the jump to WWE. No one truly knows what his contract status is but many people are under the belief that he secretly re-signed with AEW last year. Again, no one has reported that but that’s what is believed.

MJF is expected to take time off to heal his injuries after losing the World Title to Samoa Joe at Worlds End. After the match, Adam Cole revealed himself as The Devil and seemingly kicked off their feud that would, in theory, begin when both men are cleared to wrestle again later this year.

At the Worlds End post-show press conference, Tony Khan would not comment on MJF’s contract status.
