Top Impact Wrestling star to become a free agent soon?

It looks like one of Impact Wrestling’s biggest stars is headed toward the free agency market.

At Sunday’s Rebellion pay-per-view event, Jordynne Grace dropped the Knockouts Title to Deonna Purrazzo.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that as of March, Grace was set to become a free agent. The media outlet originally reported the date when she signed the deal, but it’s possible that time may have been added to the deal.

It’s also unclear whether Grace has signed a new deal since then. She has made a lot of money via her exclusive content site, but it’s unclear whether that will weigh into an eventual decision regarding her future or which promotion she signs with.

In 2021, Grace signed a two-year contract extension with Impact after signing her original two-year contract in 2019. That deal was interesting as Impact leaked the news in the fall of 2018 that she had signed with the company, but the paperwork actually never got finalized, and she was working for several months without a deal. After the launch of AEW, she was able to get more money from Impact with this information.
