WWE is on the road to the Royal Rumble PLE later this month in Tampa, FL, and the trend of the company being on fire with business success continues as the company sells out arenas, draws solid ratings, and boosts merchandise sales.

WWE wants to keep the momentum heading into WrestleMania across their television shows, including Raw, NXT, and SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes has been a workhorse for the company since returning from injury a year ago, working shows whenever the company needs, whether on Raw or SmackDown. He and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins have held down the fort on Raw, with Undisputed WWE Universal Roman Reigns not making many appearances due to his part-time schedule.

Rhodes released his schedule for January, where he noted he would be appearing at two SmackDown events, including this Friday in Lincoln, NE, and on January 19 from Atlanta, GA. It’s unclear whether he will appear on television, as he could be brought in for the dark matches.
Rhodes has already declared for the Men’s Royal Rumble match and is coming off a Street Fight against Shinsuke Nakamura on Monday’s WWE Raw.
