WWE presented the post-WrestleMania 40 episode of Monday Night Raw from the Wells Fargo Center in Philly with a stacked card, but two stars were missing from the event.
Those stars were Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. At WrestleMania 40 over the weekend, Rollins lost alongside Cody Rhodes to The Rock and Roman Reigns in a tag team match on Saturday, only to lose to Drew McIntyre in their World Heavyweight Title match the following night. The second night opened with Lynch losing to Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez talked about how there was no Lynch or Rollins on the show, leading Meltzer to note that Rollins is taking time off.
Alvarez: “We had Judgment Day in the ring after the break and firstly announced Rhea is the WWE Women’s Champion. No, Becky, No. Seth. They both appear to be gone for a while.”
Meltzer: “Seth is taking time off for injury. I don’t know about Becky. I’ve heard not that long. But you know, he’s got it’s the knee thing. He’s just got to rest up for a little while.”
