Kevin Owens is slated to make his return to the WWE NXT brand on tonight’s loaded show.
Owens announced in a video on his Twitter account that Shawn Michaels, who oversees creative for the WWE NXT brand, asked him to be the moderator for a segment featuring NXT Champion Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, and JD McDonagh ahead of their triple threat match at Halloween Havoc this Saturday night.
The former WWE NXT Champion added that he couldn’t turn him down even though Shawn Michaels is from Texas. This was a reference to Owens trash-talking the state of Texas leading up to his WrestleMania 38 match with Steve Austin earlier this year. Owens said he would be there for this segment to ensure no fighting between the three stars.
As previously reported, WWE has loaded up tonight’s NXT due to the head-to-head competition they will face with a special Tuesday Night AEW Dynamite episode on TBS and is determined to beat the rival promotion in the ratings.
