One of WWE’s top stars will be off TV for a while.
Fightful Select reported today that former WWE Women’s Champion Bianca Belair is going on a hiatus, which would explain the injury angle they did with her. On the 8/18 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Belair was attacked by Damage CTRL.
The attack focused on Belair’s knee but this was not a cover for an injury and the knee issues are purely storyline. Fightful adds that she was planning for time off. It’s unclear exactly how long she will be out of action. Her hiatus could last just under a month or possibly three months.
Belair is one of the brightest stars in the company. Since her move to the main roster, she’s been featured in the mix with top names such as Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and others and she has been there whenever the company has needed her for media appearances.
