At the WWE Backlash press conference in Puerto Rio, Triple H made an announcement.
Two Triple Threat Matches have been announced for WWE Monday Night Raw. The winners will wrestle later in the show. Hunter said that the same thing will happen on SmackDown and the winners from both of those shows will go on to Night of Champions to crown a new World Heavyweight Champion.
As was previously noted, Triple H stated that the title will be exclusive to Raw. The belt was created because of Roman Reigns’ limited schedule that keeps him from defending the Undisputed Universal Championship more frequently.
The participants of those matches for Raw and SmackDown have yet to be announced. Click below to watch the announcement.
