There has been a story making the rounds in recent days about Buddy Matthews’ status with AEW.
PWInsider reported that there is nothing to the story about Matthews leaving AEW and the reason why Matthews was absent from AEW shows earlier this year is because he had to return to Australia to take care of his visa paperwork. There is reportedly no truth to the rumors that he had been suspended by the company.
Matthews recently took to Twitter to declare that some of the rumors going around about him are “Fake.”
As for Brody King, he noted on Twitter that he is not going anywhere. Apparently, there were rumors from fans on social media about him leaving AEW and those are also false. AEW recently filed a trademark for “House of Black” so apparently they have plans for the group when everyone is back.
Matthews stated over the weekend that he was going to take time away. Malakai Black also recently noted that he is on a sabbatical.
