WWE will be airing a new episode of SmackDown tonight from Green Bay, WI, at the Resch Center and there are two names in town for the show.
The show will be the final live episode of SmackDown of 2023 as WWE prepares to tape next week’s episode tonight, with no episode scheduled for December 29.
WWE has already announced that there will be two US Title Contenders’ tournament matches tonight, with Grayson Waller vs. Carmelo Hayes and Kevin Owens vs. Austin Theory.
Also, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is slated to make his return to continue his program with Randy Orton. It appears WWE is building to them working a match at the Royal Rumble next month.
Pwinsider reports WWE NXT stars Axiom and Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson were each spotted this morning in Green Bay, Wisconsin, ahead of the show. It’s unclear whether they will be appearing.
Steveson has worked a few NXT house shows since his in-ring debut at the WWE NXT Great American Bash premium live event from the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Austin, Texas, where he beat Baron Corbin.
Axiom has worked a few matches on Smackdown as of late, including a highly praised bout with Dragon Lee.
