WWE will be getting back two notable stars from injury and back on television as the build to WrestleMania heats up, starting with the Royal Rumble later this month, where wrestlers from both the men’s and women’s divisions will have the chance to earn a shot at main eventing WrestleMania.
Hiatus
Those two stars are Sheamus and Xavier Woods. Both men have been off television for quite some time, in one case, months. That’s looking to change, though.
Woods has been off the road since last month as he is “banged up” and needs some time to heal. He had been previously advertised for the post-Christmas live event tour.
Sheamus has been sidelined with a shoulder injury as his last match happened in a loss to Edge on the August 18th SmackDown.
The latest
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that both Sheamus and Woods are expected back over the next few weeks.
It’s unclear whether the two stars will return to television before the Royal Rumble or whether WWE will have them as surprise entrants in the Rumble matches.
